Arunima Sen
Program Associate - Transport

Arunima Sen is a Program Associate - Transport with the Sustainable Cities and Transport team at WRI India. She is working on projects around young children-oriented urban development in Indian cities in collaboration with multiple agencies.
Prior to joining WRI India, Arunima was associated with the National Institute of Urban Affairs, New Delhi as an urban design consultant for the project – Heritage Conservation Plan for Walled City of Ahmedabad. She has also worked with HCPDPM, Ahmedabad, as an urban designer and Project Lead on a diverse range of projects like Refurbishment of C.G. Road (Ahmedabad), Tapi Riverfront development and river rejuvenation project (Surat) and other master-planning and infrastructure planning projects. So far, she has experience in working with various government agencies as well as local stakeholders.
Arunima holds a bachelor’s in Architecture from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She holds a master’s in Architecture (major in Urban Design, Minor in Conservation) from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, where she also contributed as a Research Associate.
In her free time, she likes cooking and exploring food histories. She also enjoys reading and learning about the colonial history of India.
