Program Associate - Transport

Amy Rachel Joseph is a Project Associate with the Sustainable Cities and Transport team at WRI India, where she works for creating framework of young-children and their caregivers-oriented development in cities, in collaboration with the Bernard van Leer Foundation.
Prior to joining WRI India, she worked as Research Assistant (Urban Design) for the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority for a year, where she was involved in formulating the Urban Design and Architectural Guidelines for the new capital city of Amaravati, design demonstrations for walkable neighborhoods of Amaravati and execution of pedestrian- friendly street design in the institutional block of the capital. She also worked briefly with the architectural firm Chapman Taylor, Delhi, on various commercial and residential projects and as a BIM architect with the firm Design Convergence, Delhi.
Amy holds an M.Arch in Urban Design from School of Architecture and Planning, Bhopal and a B.Arch (Honors) from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
She is an avid traveler and likes reading history and fiction. Amy loves to explore graphic design in her free time.
